SCARY FLICKS

Updated: May 27, 2021

Scary Movies with Billy Disaster #2. Last nights movie was The Perfection directed by Richard Shepherd. I thought this would be cool since it’s about a classical cello teacher and his prodigies. It start out well with good characters acted well and great music. Then it goes irresponsibly downhill. I won’t give anything away about the story but I will say that this could’ve been so much better with just a slight change of decision making. I don’t recommend this movie. 2 Skulls for The Perfection💀💀 . Tonight’s movie is gonna be Pihu recommend by my sister

. I’m scared.

Scary Movies with Billy Disaster #3. Last nights movie from India was Pihu recommended to me by

. This movie was amazing! Though not a horror flick, it is pretty scary in its own way. What's most remarkable about this movie is that while it has a few characters, the only actor in it is a TWO YEAR OLD GIRL! Part Home Alone (though not funny) and part Cast Away, the 2 year old Pihu is all alone in an apartment after her dad leaves and her mom dies. Pihu is left to fend for herself...and I'll leave it at that. This movie is so well made from the story telling to the music. The little girl is so captivating that you can't take your eyes off this movie. It's also based on a true story. 5 Skulls for Pihu! 💀💀💀💀💀. Tonights movie will be The Purge recommended by

Scary Movies With Billy Disaster #4. Last nights movie was Parasite. This movie was so incredible I can't wait to watch it again. All of the characters are really fun to hang with and the social commentary is super clever. The story is set in South Korea and is centered around two families. One rich and one poor. I won't spoil anything here but I will say that this might even be a good movie for kids (Pre teens and up maybe)

...You don't need me tell you this was a great flick, It won a shitload of awards including Best Picture etc...5 Skulls for Parasite💀💀💀💀💀! Tonights movie will be US.

Scary Movies With Billy Disaster #5. Last nights movie was Us written, directed, and produced by Jordan Peele (Get Out, BlacKKKlansman). This one was pretty good. The kids in this movie are awesome, but the adult characters are kinda lame and suffer from some embarrassingly bad dialogue. The story is a bit confusing and has a couple of critical loopholes that should've been addressed. However the killer music and the twist in the movie was a total surprise that added an extra Skull to my rating. 3 Skulls for Us💀💀💀. Tonights movie is The Handmaiden. I'm scared!

Scary Movies with Billy Disaster is back with #6! Last nights movie was The Handmaiden. It's a bit of a stretch to call this a scary movie, but this one was amazing! The story is a little like Parasite where it's about poor people trying to infiltrate a rich family's life. The characters and scenes are beautiful and fun to watch. The story is very well told through great dialogue and camera work. Oh and it is also EROTIC AS HELL! 5 Skulls for The Handmaiden💀💀💀💀💀. Tonights movie will be The Witch. Im scared

Scary Movies With Billy Disaster #7 Last nights movie was The Witch. Set in the 1600's New England about a very religious family banished from their village to live in the forest. Terrible things happen to them and they are left wondering if it's because of something beyond human. This is a slow burn of a movie that is difficult to watch because of ever present despair. I cannot say this was an entertaining movie. Too much crying and screaming for me. And I hate movies where bad things happen to children. On the plus side, the acting and imagery were unbelievably awesome and the music (

) was killer! 3 Skulls for The Witch💀💀💀.

What!? A bonus edition of Scary Movies With Billy Disaster? Yep..Watched 2 movies last night. Movie #2 was Hush Starring and Co written by Kate Siegel. Let me begin by saying I think I'm gonna break up with Gal Gadot and make Kate Siegel my new celebrity girlfriend...So Hush was pretty great and scary as hell. It's about a deaf woman who lives alone in a secluded house. One night while she's working on her novel, a home invader comes around and tries to get in..unsuccessfully..so he roams around the perimeter of the property as she watches him from window to window. No spoilers here but what makes this movie so cool is the unique music and camera tactics (no jump scares) to create the tension and mystery. The fact that she is deaf is frightening. 4 Skulls for Hush💀💀💀💀. Tonights movie will be The Invisible Man. Im scared!

Scary Movies With Billy Disaster #9. Last Nights movie was The Invisible Man starring Peggy from Mad Men. This movie was one of the best movies I've see in years. It's about A woman who leaves her rich and controlling boyfriend. The boyfriend takes revenge by faking his suicide and using an invisible suit that he invented to terrorize her.

This movie is a modern loose adaption of the H.G. Welles book of the same name. It is tense, scary, and super entertaining. A horror movie with a little Terminator Sci Fi in it. I cannot recommend this one enough! 5 Skulls for The Invisible Man💀💀💀💀💀! Tonights movie will be A Quiet Place. Im scared!

It's the final installment of Scary Movies With Billy Disaster (#10). Our last movie is A Quiet Place starring John Kransiski and Emily Blunt. The streak of excellent movies continues with this one. Set in a modern post apocalyptic small town, aliens have invaded. These aliens can't see or smell, but they can hear, and when they hear something, they kill. The story is centered around a family in survival mode trying to live very quietly. There is a lot of tension. The most coming from the fact that they are about 8 months pregnant and going to have a noisy baby. All in all this movie is beautiful and emotional. There are a few very moving story lines and every frame has purpose. 5 Skulls for A Quiet Place💀💀💀💀💀 ......So I'm gonna keep Movies With Billy Disaster going. Will you help me pick November's genre?
